Minor changes may be made without a public correction notice when they do not materially change the meaning of the content.

These changes may include:

  • Spelling and punctuation corrections
  • Formatting improvements
  • Mobile-display corrections
  • Readability improvements
  • Replacing a broken link with an equivalent source

Substantive Corrections

When a meaningful error is identified, we may:

  • Correct the inaccurate statement

  • Update a specification or version reference
  • Replace an unreliable source
  • Remove unsupported content
  • Add an editorial note

Security-Related Corrections

Reports involving malware, compromised software, unsafe downloads, exposed credentials, remote-access risks, data loss, or serious security concerns receive particular attention.

Do not send passwords, access keys, private server addresses, confidential logs, or unpublished client information when reporting a concern.

Product and Software Changes

Hardware, software, drivers, subscriptions, cloud services, and licensing terms may change after publication.

When a meaningful change becomes known, we may update or remove the affected information.

How to Report an Error

Use our Contact Us page and include:

  • The page title or URL
  • The statement or section involved
  • A clear explanation of the issue
  • The relevant version or hardware revision
  • A reliable supporting source, when available

Our Review Process

  1. We locate and review the relevant page.
  2. We compare the report with available documentation.
  3. We determine whether the issue is factual, technical, editorial, or a difference of interpretation.
  4. We correct, clarify, update, retain, or remove the content as appropriate.

Commercial Correction Requests

Manufacturers, software companies, advertisers, retailers, and service providers may report factual errors.

A commercial relationship does not guarantee that a requested editorial change will be accepted.

Response Times

We aim to review legitimate reports but cannot guarantee an individual response or specific completion time.
